I am thrilled to invite you to my very first Knitalong (KAL)! After the test knitting group for the Leaf Dress was so much fun, I want to share this wonderful experience with you all! Here you can find all information about the Leaf Dress KAL. If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail at info@the-knit-stitch.com<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is a knitalong?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A KAL is a virtual knitting meeting where we knit the same project together and support and inspire each other in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are we knitting?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For my first KAL, I have chosen my pattern for the beautiful Leaf Dress. We are using the last six weeks of summer to knit this gorgeous dress together, which can of course also be worn perfectly in the fall with the right combination!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Leaf Dress is knitted from the bottom up in an elegant leaf pattern. The lower section is worked in the round, while the upper section is knitted in back and forth rows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All important information about the Leaf Dress KAL<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The pattern for the Leaf Dress will be published on Sunday, 28.07.2024 in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Dutch. The Leaf Dress KAL starts on Moday, 29.07.2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone who wants to can take part in the Leaf Dress KAL. You can simply knit the pattern and post your progress publicly with the hashtag #LeafDressKAL. If you want to start later, that’s no problem either. The KAL only gives you an approximate time frame. Of course, you don’t have to finish within the specified time frame either \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the hashtag, there will be an Instagram group where we can get to know each other, ask questions and share our progress \u201cprivately\u201d. Members of this group will also receive a 30% discount code on my pattern<\/strong> and a 20% discount code from We Are Knitters on the Pima cotton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, I will also regularly post your publicly shared progress on my Instagram channel @theknitstitch<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conditions of participation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Who can take part? <\/strong>Anyone who wants to can take part in the Leaf Dress KAL. Participation can take place as a \u201csilent reader\u201d on Instagram, actively in the Instagram group or publicly via the hashtag #LeafDressKAL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Platform:<\/strong> The Leaf Dress KAL runs via Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pattern:<\/strong> Get the pattern for the Leaf Dress on release day (Sunday, July 28th) either via my website or my Ravelry store. Members of the group will receive a 30% discount code on the pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Materials:<\/strong> Get the wool and needles in advance so that everyone can get started at the same time. My pattern recommends the Pima cotton from We Are Knitters<\/a>. But of course you are free to choose whatever you like! However, members of the group will receive a 20% discount code on the cotton from We Are Knitters!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discount codes:<\/strong> The discounts for the wool and the pattern will be published as a code in the private group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No stress:<\/strong> there is no obligation to finish knitting the dress by the end of the KAL!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 4 or 5 mm circular needles, depending on size<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 E.g. 4 (XS, S, M), 5 (L, XL), or 6 (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) x 100g we are knitters cotton wool, or a similar cotton yarn (100g = ~212m)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 A sewing needle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Some stitch markers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GAUGE IN LEAF STITCH (5 MM):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 stitches = 15 cm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20 rows = 8 cm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
