Once you have knitted the desired number of rows for your knitting project, you have to cast-off your stitches. If you don’t do this and just remove the needle, your knitting project will frog completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Knit the first two stitches. If you don\u2019t know how to do that, check the tutorial \u201cThe Knit Stitch<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Now stitch with the left knitting needle into the back loop on the right knitting needle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/strong> With the left knitting needle you lift the back loop on the right knitting needle over the front loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4:<\/strong> Just drop the back loop after you have pulled it in front of the front loop. You now only have one stitch on your right knitting needle. Repeat this until you have reached the end of the row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Pull the last stitch to a large loop and pass the working yarn through this loop. Usually you have to cut the working yarn from the skein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6:<\/strong> Now pull the working yarn. This will tighten your loop and create a small knot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7:<\/strong> Your stitches are now cast-off. Now you could sew the remaining yarn with a sewing needle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
