“Inverno” is Italian for “winter”. The Inverno Sweater is a winter knit sweater with a lovely lace design. It’s made with sheep wool. If you want to make it with mohair, have a look at the Primavera Sweater pattern. The Inverno Sweater has top-down raglan construction. That means no sewing is needed at the end. Thanks to the top-down construction, you can check the length while knitting your sweater and adjust it easily to your needs.
LEVEL: Advanced
SIZE: XS, S, M, L and XL
MEASUREMENTS: Circumference: 96, 100, 104, 107, 110 cm, length variable.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 6 and 8 mm circular needles, 6 mm double pointed needles
- E.g. 5 (XS, S, M) or 6 (L, XL) x 100g we are knitters The Petite Wool, or a similar wool (100g = ~140m)
- An auxiliary needle
- Some stitch markers
TECHNIQUES:
You should master these basic techniques:
Knit stitch – purl stitch – cast-on – cast-off.
The following techniques are explained in the pattern:
Knit 1 through the back loop – Yarn over – Knit or purl 2 together – Left leaning decrease – Left leaning increase – Right leaning increase.
